Israeli Drone Strike Kills Two Palestinians in Gaza City Despite Truce
According to local sources, the strike targeted a group near Asqoula junction in the Zeitoun neighborhood. Medical personnel at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital reported that a third individual was critically injured in the attack.
Witnesses stated that Israeli forces also demolished structures east of the so-called “yellow line” in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood. Israeli artillery additionally shelled areas east of Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis.
These strikes brought the total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since early Sunday to 11.
Earlier, eight Palestinians died in two separate strikes in the Bir 19 area, while another was killed near Bani Suheila junction.
According to reports citing the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli forces have violated the ceasefire in place since Oct. 10 on a daily basis, resulting in 691 deaths and 1,876 injuries as of March 18.
The conflict in Gaza, which began in October 2023, has reportedly killed more than 72,000 Palestinians, wounded roughly 172,000, and destroyed nearly 90% of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.
